April 24, 1966 [268] "The Case
of the Misguided Model"
Director Jerry Hopper
Teleplay Orville H. Hampton and Ernest
Frankel
Former beauty queen Mary Ann Mobley
plays Sharon Carmody, a model trying to become the new
representative for White Queen soap. Trouble is, the job
calls for Sharon to be as pure as the product she'll be
pushing, and unfortunately, her past is getting in her
way. She's being blackmailed. Then someone kills her
adversary and it looks like smooth sailing for her. But
her boyfriend, ex-boxer Duke Maronek, had fought with the
blackmailer and thinks he killed him. He tells this to
Perry and when the police arrest someone else for the
crime, Perry is torn between two unpleasant options.
Ethics prevent him from revealing his client's
confession, but he can't let an innocent man be
convicted.

Webmaster's Note: Don
Davis points out that the position that Sharon Carmody is
trying out for is described numerous times as the
"White Snow Princess" and that "White
Queen soap" should likely read "White Snow
soap."
